Hello:
I have recently become the proud owner of a 2000 SR380DA....I am in the process of removing the old "log" style muffler and installing the Centek water lift mufflers that was not done by the previous owner. I have the mufflers, elbows and new hoses on the way but I am not sure that I can remove the large (5" or 6") vertical hose from the underwater exhaust outlet in the hull without sinking the boat.

I assume all of this is under the waterline and I need to be hauled out to do it?
Advice?
Thx!

I don't know the answer to the question but I would hope that Sea Ray would not have a 5" hose fitting of that size below the water line.

I haven't done that particular thing on your boat, but... there is a fiberglass tube sticking up, vertically, from the underwater hole, right? And the hose is then clamped to the top of that fiberglass tube? Compare the height of the top end of that fiberglass tube to any thru-hull that exits the side of the hull near the waterline. I think you could easily figure it out that way, to be sure. I'm sure someone with prior experience will offer their advice, but in the meantime I think checking things out this way will give you the answer you need.
