Hello, I'm replacing my clarion wired remote that's in my dash panel above my steering wheel. 2008 Searay 240 SD.
I'm trying to find out have I remove the old one. Do I just remove the panel screws for access or something more?

I would think so, yes. Just be careful with the panel "corners" and don't over tighten the screws when re-installing (cracks).

if you can remove the entire panel that it is attatched to you can see the back and access the simple bracket that it's held in place with. if not you need to fish your hand in somehow and remove the tiny nuts that hold the bracket to the back of the unit. there are only 2 and when you break them free you can spin them off with your fingers.

You probably don't need to remove the panel if the can get to the back of the helm station through the storage area. I have done the same job before and there was a small nut to remove on the back of the remote and that removed a bracket that held the whole piece tight to the panel.
