Remove companionway door on a 230 OV?

on a tangent

I'm wondering if there's a way to remove the sliding companionway door on a 230 OV without dismantling the boat/helm and maybe just taking out a few strategic screws? I have a loose handle on the molded steps, and I'd like to get in behind to tighten up the bolts, but I'll have to pull the headliner on the back side of the door to do it. I'll also have to replace that section of headliner b/c I spilled contact adhesive on it last time I tried to do this without removing the companionway door.

Tips are always appreciated from someone who's been there!

Thanks!

Jim

sorry, but there is no way
the only way i see it done without removing door
is to pull section carpet from back of the door, drill hole big enough
to fit wrench and later on tape hole with duck tape or use some kind of body filler and re-glue carpet
