OK. First of all BOE Marine, great place to buy. Easy process, the live chat is awesome. Overall very please with the service 8)

Now to the install:

Easy. Hardest thing was to decide/find a place where the unit was not in the way of the gauges or was hitting something. You see, with the internal antenna the unit will not fit in front (the antenna hits the windshield).

I use stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers. The base was flat for the front two bolts... on the third one (photo Install-3.jpg) you can see that I installed a nut and washer to compensate for the gap.

Electrical connection was also a breeze. I used one of the empty slots in the stock fuse block. Two terminals one 2amp fuse and done!

The white stuff you see in the base is some white marine silicone that I need to remove... I applied a good amount of silicone to the bolt to avoid any leaks under the dash.

If you are getting one of these units make sure you order the C-Map card at the same time... I made the mistake of not doing so and had to pay for shipping on the card. And yes, you need the C-Map card or you will have NO detail whatsoever without it.
