Fridge was working great and left on shore power. Guy was waxing the boat for me and unplugged the shore power and left it unplugged. I noticed and plugged back up, now the fridge just tries to start but doesn't... does this over and over every 10 seconds or so.
Where do I start to diagnose? It's a small 20x20 inch under the counter top type. I'd say it's the original. Boat has 325 total hours.

Thanks,
Nick

Well my tug is older . But I have a reset button inside of the refrigerator next to the temp settings.
Did you try pushing that if you have one ??. I'm just guessing here. :smt001

I would shut off the main breaker and start over.
It sounds like it switching back and forth from 12v to 115 v.

If this were a home Fridge, it sounds like your compressor has finally died. Something to consider....

It could be a coincidence that the frige fails at the exact time the shore power is unplugged for 4 days and this switched the frige to dc and drained the batteries. I dont know if that killed it or not but I have to look at the last thing changed and work from there.
I seem to remember that a compressor has a starter capacitor to bring the motor up to speed, without that capacitor the motor can not start and will try and try until something else fails. Maybe thats it?
I hate to drop $700 on a new unit w/o attempting a repair first. Had hoped someone had been there before me.
