I am installing a diesel powered heater on a 315 Sundancer and am connecting it to the outlet above the dinette. In doing so, I am reducing the number of outlets for the A/C to one by the floor next to the bed. Ideally, I would like to shut the outlet already by the AC unit - so my question is if this will cause any problems for the AC unit, or if it would simply direct all air into the other remaining outlet? I've marked in the picture where I would stop the air flow. Any tips? Is the box where the ducting is connected wide open inside, allowing air to flow into whichever of the two ducts with less resistance?

Good question. It will direct more air to the other outlet but I don't know if the diameter of that single outlet would create resistance that could be harmful to the AC unit. Can you reduce the flow to that outlet rather than cut it off completely? Then maybe keep the fan speed on low?

Not exactly the same, but it's evidently not a problem in automotive A/C units...

If I understand you correctly you are cutting the number of outlets from 2 to 1 or by 50%. Correct? If so, then yes you will have a dramatic effect on the system.
