Recommend good location onboard to store, extra oil, gear lube, trim fluid, etc??

I have been looking for a good place onboard our 290' to store those items you don't want to leave at port.
- oil
- gear lube
- trim fluid
- power steering fluid
etc...

Currently I put them at the bottom of the small closest in the mid berth. However, they are slowly out growing the bottom of the closest, and I really hate putting them in there since the containers need to be so clean when stored away. Has anyone come up with a nice way of perhaps securing a plastic milk crate or some sort of a storage box, some where in the engine area? I am trying to free up some space in the cabin area and there has to be some place to store these down in the engine compartment. However, I want to know they are in a safe place and they won't cause any issues while we are using the boat on the water. Anyone?

I put that extra "stuff" in the cabinet under the sink in the cockpit. So far, it hasn't been a problem.

Well, the wife has occupied that space pretty well. The mid berth is a big storage place right now, and we are trying to clear out the cabin some what. I keep some wax, cleaners in addition to all the extra oil, lube, etc. in the cabin.

I always stored my extra lubricants in the bilge...Just in case of leakage from a previosly opened container. I velcro'd a small wooden box to the hull all the way back directly in front of the transom. Worked very well.

I had a really good rubbermaid plastic bin with a hard top that has red locking handles on each end. It fits perfectly between the stringers in the bildge. I have a bungie cord run thru the handles on each end and over the top. One end of the bungie is held in place with a stainless clip (don't know what its called and the other end is run thru a cam cleat and pulled tight.

Since mine has outdrives there is a lot more room down in the bilge than yours probably does, but you probably have several other smaller spaces where you could do the same thing.

I'm not far. I'm on Eastern Bay, just below Kent Narrows.

I have a large plastic tool box in which I store oil, lube and a belt, along with my tools. I store this box under the seat in the galley.
