Recommend a new GPS/Radar/Fishfinder for AJ 270

Hiiii
My Raymarine C70 screen is dead..tried to do a master reboot but it works 1 out of 10 times..which is very furstrating when you are in the middle of the sea...I am thinking of upgrading to another system...any recommendations?

come by next week and take a look at my different options. It should be delivered with UPS tomorrow.

I have Simrad NSS8 + Lowrance new Touch screen (both from Navico) - with "Structure Scan/Sidescan" and Simrad 4G radar.

But... unfortunately if you have Raymarine Radar and Fish-finder - it is quite certain that many of your accessories will NOT work with any newer models from Raymarine. (Maybe the fishfinder will - but Radar will not) - and if you have raymarine fishfinder (transducer) then that might not work with anything else than Raymarine.

I contacted Raymarine today...they are quoting me 15 K in AED to change the entire system and install E7D with Radar Dome 18''....ahhh what to do !!

I might sell my Raymarine C97 once I get the rest installed. Then you just need the new radar - in the US the 418HD is about $1050 I think.

But try getting a price from Japan Marine on Lowrance HDS 9 Touch with Lowrance 4G radar. That is a much better setup and you have the "structure scan" hardware built in to the HDS 9. And with Simrad/Lowrance new $200 GPS/Heading sensor - you will get a Radar that can do map overlay + MARPA (auto-track 10 closest moving objects around you) - and then you have a very serious fishing/navigation setup. It will run a bit above the AED 15000 but a much better setup. And if you have an in-hull transducer - that will need to be replaced. For our Gulf waters with a max depth of about 70 meters - an Airmar B60 transducer is more than perfect and I think that is < $200. The Structure scan needs an expensive transducer though ($700ish if they can fit a single or $1100 for a dual if that is needed - depends on mounting possibilities)

But I still have the C80 if you want to "sidegrade"
