I’ve done something similar, all as above but salmon on a cedar plank wrapped in foil, with this on it as well.

The foil on the cedar plank on the Magma helped it not burst into flames.
I use Riley's seasoning. I like to make cedar plank salmon on my grill at home. No foil though.

One item I like to grill out on the water is jalapeños stuffed with cheese. I prep the peppers by slicing in half and coring. Make sure to clean out all the seeds, rinse and dry. I like to do about ten peppers. Store on ice or refrigerated in a zip lock. The filling is a 50/50 mix of cream cheese and sour cream. For 8 ounces of sour cream and 8 ounces of cream cheese I add one tablespoon of sugar. Mix it well and store it in a small tupperware container. When you are ready, use a spoon to fill the peppers and grill them on medium heat until the filling starts to crack and slightly yellow. Bon Appetite.
Try adding a little smoked paprika. It really makes the flavors pop in poppers.

Guess I should clarify, plank is not completely wrapped basically foil on the grates then plank on top. Fits perfect on the Magma, as we know turn your back on that bad boy and you will be starting over. Plank gets a nice char to it and the cedar smoke works wonders. On the home grill, no foil as well.

And speaking of flavor enhancements, have you ever considered pairing your cedar plank salmon with a delicious homemade Yum Yum Sauce? It's a creamy and tangy sauce that's perfect for dipping or drizzling over grilled dishes. It has a fantastic recipe that's super easy to whip up.

Cedar plank salmon and homemade yum yum sauce….has me rethinking bots might not be all bad
Somewhere we have a recipe for wasabi Yumyum sauce. Actually pretty damn good on wings. I should dig out the old cookbooks I haven’t opened since the last move

Topping for cedar plank salmon:

Make sure the cedar is water soaked well. Mix panko crumbs, lots of coarse ground black pepper, a couple tablespoons of soft butter, and maple syrup and mix to a paste. Spread it on top of the salmon filet in a layer to make a crust. Put it on a hot grill. Close the lid. Watch for too much flame but the flame helps brown the crust. When the crust is browned and the butter sizzling, turn it down until the salmon is done.
