I've got a 1991 250da. Dyno batteries and switch. Took both batteries to be recharged and they came back OK. Switching to 1, 2 or both? I get zero power to gauges, main cabin or so on. Its completely dead.

The last time this happened I poked the "25" button above the ignition - that's not working here. Any ideas? I'm at wits end.

How dead were the batteries when you took them in to be charged? If they were stone cold dead they may have taken enough charge to show 12V but no have enough amps to do anything.

I'd suggest taking the boat to an auto parts store and have them perform a test of the batteries under load. That will give you a better picture of how good they are.

If they're good, while you're at the auto parts store, ask them for their thoughts on what's wrong.

How old are the batteries? If several years old, you may be better just buying new ones.

Y'all are probably right; was trying to avoid it but there probably isn't much of a choice.

I don’t know what “dump batteries and switch “ means, but I wonder if you have done any kind of work in the area of the VHF radio.
There is a heavy gage wire with a large blue connector in there that will shut down pretty much all the 12 volt functions if unplugged.
