Rebedding Deck Runner Rails

I have a 1991 350/370 and am thinking about rebedding the deck rails that run down on each side of the hatches. I have tried to feel through the headliner to see if I can feel screw heads or nuts but cannot feel anything. The headliner is in perfect condition and I don't want to tear it out if I don't need to or if it's not a good idea. Thanks

Did you ever find answers to this thread? I have a 2000 380 that
I need to re-bed the deck rails on but taking the headline down doesn't seem like the right answer. Any help would be appreciated.
