Has anyone else lost one of their rear deck vent covers? We have a “new to us” 2005 340 Sea Ray Dancer. Come to find out these are only glued on by Sea Ray. Sea Ray no longer has this part available. We have been checking several different places but have had zero luck. Pic is not of my actual boat but it’s the same boat and same part. Someone else on here posted the same issue back in February 2018. In advance thank you for any assistance!

Thanks. Have thought of that. I am looking for a fabricator as we speak.

you could take this opportunity and design a new simpler style of cover if you wanted to and have the fabricator make one for both sides.....trying to make one exactly like the OEM cover could be difficult and expensive....

Not a bad idea. Have thought of that.

When the vent cover on my 280DA fell off at the dock into 40' water I went to the Sea Ray dealer to get a new one. They said they no longer stocked the part but still had the mold and could make one for $900. I hired a diver to recover the one I lost. You might ask the dealer if Sea Ray still has the mold for your boat. If they do it may be cheaper than a custom one off part.

You may want to try an on-line boat salvage/supply place. Kind of like a boat junkyard

Thanks for your response. Sea Ray was the first place we called and they no longer have the mold. I found someone who claims they have the mold but after many calls and emails I still have not got a response.

Out of curiosity, did you ever solve this problem? The starboard side vent cover just fell off my 2004 320 DA! Lost to the lake!

Heck order a dozen, you'll be able to sell them.
