I'm in the process of redoing my seats. I started on the back bench seat. The hinge was mounted over the vinyl then into the wood base. Is that right?

Thanks i don't like that. I guess i'll have to slightly redesign the how the back seat attaches to the boat

Could you post pics when you're done? I would like to redo same bench seat on our 1988 268DA. I would like it to be deeper and sit a few inches higher. It's almost like sitting on the floor the way it is now.
