That must be the same material my wallet is made out of - every time I put money inside it disappears .

I am guessing chroma key replacement in video edit (think green screen) and a preshot background for replacement. Notice it is always from the same angle - a rotating perspective would be much harder to to as you would need a rotational sync.

Yup "Green Screen" but using another colour since the plants are green. Easy to do these days.
