Re Upholstry 1988 SeaRay Weekender 30'

Hi All, I have a question, I am in the midst of replacing the vinyl on the seats in my helm, I have what I call a bench seat behind my steering wheel, and I am having difficulty removing the rear of the seat, Does anyone know how I can safely remove what I think it a Fiberglas back on the seat .

To remove the helm seat base in my 1985 Sundancer 34' requires bolts be loosened in the ceiling of the aft stateroom thats underneath the base. They are accessable and not covered by the cieling hull liner in my boat.
