2000 240 DA. Is it possible to reseal the factory transducer without destroying it? I get a little bit of water in the bilge and believe it is seeping in at the transducer. I hate to have to buy a new one if there is a way to save it..... also anybody know if sea ray epoxy or resins the factory hole they drilled to mount it? Hoping I dont have any water intrusion in the bottom of the hull.........

If it is leaking at the through hull and still works properly, then yes, removed it, clean it up and reinstall it. I recently replaced mine due to a nearby lightening strike. The yard installed a new one and it started to leak when we were cruising for a month. When getting back to our home port, I had the yard remove the transducer, and reinstall it with better bedding. Has not leaked in the two years since it was redone. These are normally installed in a place in the hull that has no coring so I doubt water infiltration will be an issue. Your boat is probably all glass below the water line due to its size.

I am worried about getting it out with it having been sealed for so many years. I keep reading horror stories of having to cut it out with a hole saw....

Take it to a full service marina with a good reputation for repair work. They will know how to remove and reinstall it.
