The standard depth finder on the ‘99 340 Sundancer is the Lowrance 3500 depth finder. The unit stopped working and I’m thinking of replacing it with the “Raymarine ST60 Plus Tridata System With Nylon Thru Hulls : A22013-P” from BOE Marine. This will give me depth, speed, log, water…etc. and will fit nicely in the existing depth finder location.

I’m a little concerned that the transducers might not work correctly. I read that it only supports a maximum of 10 degrees dead rise. I believe this hull has a 17 degree dead rise.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or suggest another setup/unit?

Thanks!

Deadrise is the angle of the Vee in the hull from the horizontal. where on the hull the 'deadrise' is measured I do not know. But just by looking at the hull you can see there is a sharper Vee at the bow, than midships or stern. So this means that you would be limited to mounting the transducer somewhere on the flatter part of the bottom. Other than that you might need to consider another transducer.
