Raymarine c80

Buying an '05 340 sundancer with the standard Raymarine c80 plotter (have not taken delivery as of yet). Research says this model has a built in sounder module. Did they also come with a transducer already installed? I know it has a digital depth readout on the smart craft/vessel view display. Reason for my inquiry is that I would like to upgrade to a newer 97 series (which should easily fit with slight modifications) and install radar as well. I am told the c80 is not comapatible with the newer radar domes (no radar on this boat). I really don't want to pay to have a new transducer installed.

My C80 had did not come with a transducer but worst yet the C80 requires a DM 30 or DM 300 on top of the transducer. They are not cheap!

I have the C70...same software and function just slightly smaller screen size. I looked into an upgrade and called Raymarine. I was told my dome will not work with a newer MFD. I have a DSM module installed to get depth and fish finder and it does integrate with Smartcraft. I now they did not have built in sounders as newer models do.
