Our boat was burglarized over Thanksgiving and one of the hundreds of items stolen was the RayMarine C80 at the helm... It had GPS, radar & depth all connected to it. I'm looking for input on my options to replace it, if I stay with RM will my old pieces talk to the new unit....?

If the old gear was analog, and I believe it was, the new digital devices will not talk with the old analog gear. You will pay for features that can not be used.

Insurance will be paying a lot more for features that I will use..... Thanks for the scoop, It's kinda what I was afraid of.

Get an e97 and a quantum radar

you can buy an adapter and the e97 will fit right in the hole the c80 left and your sounder will most likely plug right into the e97. The quantum radar is an easy upgrade. I did this exact upgrade last year (not due to theft) and can give you more tips if you go this path

I agree. I had an older Raymarine GPS/Plotter and separate radar wiped out by a lightening bolt that struck near our boat. The insurance paid what they had to and I picked up the remainder to get a newer radar and GPS/plotter that could overlay the radar on the GPS screen. Worth every penny.

Looking back on it now I wish I'd have upgraded to NMEA2000.
