With the help of this thread I was able to get my RayMarine C80 NMEA output to my VHS radio, as well as my smartcraft system for GPS data.

I went down to the boat tonight and adjusted my transisition speed for the paddle wheel. I'm pleased to post that it now goes from paddle to gps for the speed sensor. Also, I verified the mnea connections and the Vhf now sees the gps as well.
I want to thank all those that responded to this thread, and hope it was helpful.
