Raymarine 215...no sound

My Raymarine 215 on my 340 has gone silent. I haven't checked connections yet, but it powers up and changes channel, just no sound. Has anyone ever run into this and found a fix without shipping it back for a $149 repair?

Are you sure your squelch is turned down?

Yes, unfortunately sound is up, squelch is down and I've tried every setting in between...

No buy a new radio from Jim (owner of this site for less than that). It'll be a better radio too.

Do you have a handheld, or another boat nearby to see if the unit is transmitting when you key the mic?

I've never seen a speaker go bad on VHF, but I'm sure it can happen?
