Raymarine 215 microphone cord

My VHF radio mic cord is deteriorating and falling apart. I did a search on this site but found only one thread. I am looking to purchase the cord, part number R49060, but haven't located a vendor with any stock. I contacted a local Raymarine service agent and they told me that I would have to bring the mic and cord in for them to send it back to Raymarine to repair. Does anyone have a vendor source for the cord/connector or additional information that may be helpful?

Got mine from large local WM store for $47.

I was able to buy the replacement cord at my local West Marine dealer for about $40. They had to order it from Raymarine but it was delivered in about 4 days. Simple replacement as the microphone end had the plug attached. No soldering required.

If you send it back to Raymarine it cost $75 to repair. I had mine done last fall as the cord was bad and the the mic button was bad. There is information on Raymarines web site as to where to send it.

+1 on the cable repair from Raymarine. Call Linda Sullivan at Ray Marine. She handles all the repairs. I had my mic cable replaced last season for $75 and couldnt be happier. Linda.sullivan@raymarine.com and 603-324-7950. Call is better than email.
