Hi folks,

I have scoured the web looking for a replacement mic for a Raymarine 215 DSC mic and cord. My cord has become eroded to the point where I am worried about the bare wires getting wet and causing some adverse event. Does anyone have a spare one hanging around that they are willing to sell or can anyone point me in the right direction? I really don't want to scrap my whole unit because of a pesky cord fray.

Many thanks

Contact Raymarine, they will re cord it for $75 bucks. I had mine done last year.

I called Raymarine but was on hold for over 20 min. Had to leave a voice mail but have yet to hear back from them. A new cord would work well. It is. however, strange to me that such a easily removed component would be so difficult to find an OEM or non-OEM replacement part.

Anyway, thanks Bruce. I will get this squared away on Monday.

Confirmed... I sent in my mic today and they said they would replace the cord and plug for $75 and have it back to me in 7-10 business days.

From the Raymarine website.:

The replacement part number for the Ray215 microphone cord is R49085.

Should you have a failed Ray215 microphone and/or the microphone's cord is in need of replacement, then it is recommended that it be sent to Raymarine's Product Repair Center to be serviced.

I was getting ready to list a 215DSC for sale (along with the rest of the electronics here) if you're interested in a whole radio. Everything is in good condition, including the cord and mic holder. This is not the original radio from when this boat was new. I believe it was replaced about 3-4 years ago.
