Good Morning. I have a model 85b icer-ette up until a week ago it was making ice like a champ, then it just stopped making ice. It goes through it's cycles and gets cold but it is not getting water into the ice tray. My first thought was the water solenoid valve, replaced it with a new one, still no water to tray. Checked the voltage on the two wires that connect to the water solenoid, (brown and white), during the cycle when it should be providing 120vac to the solenoid to open it up, only getting about 6-8 vac at the connection. Tested the solenoid by applying 120vac directly to the solenoid and it worked fine. Any ideas, thoughts would be appreciated. Already spend 50 bucks on the new solenoid but don't think that is the culprit. Would like to hear any ideas what to replace next, control module, or the whole tray assembly. Thank. Mike

no it has the test points. I jumpered L to V and had 120vac at the solenoid and solenoid opened and sent water to the mold. It just wont do it on its own.... Anyone know how to remove the ice mold tray? It has two screws holding it to the side of the ice maker but when it try and loosen them the hex screw and whatever it is that's into the side of the ice maker all turn. Any ideas?? Might have to cut them off.

Just curious if you have found a solution for this repair? I have the same issue. I have not changed the water valve yet.

The water valve was good, applied 120vac to it and it worked fine. I ended up replacing the complete control module. I believe the problem was with the heater that loosens the cubes so they can bed released. There are several steps to make ice. Fill, freeze, heat and eject. If any one of the processes fails no ice. Just to be sure I replaced the entire control valve, or if you want to save money you can just replace the plug in heating element. Good Luck.

I get no water in the tray, I will try jumping it out.
