Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, why does the weather have to be so bad on the weekends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mother Nature is making me mad!

The weather is nice during the week, and come the weekend rain and gloom. Dang it.
It's May, and it's still cold! Global warming HA!

I live in the Carolinas, not Wisconsin............sorry to the folks in Wisconsin, it's probably nice up there. haha

You are looking at it the wrong way ;)

Rainy weather means you have the waterways pretty much to yourself. A nice leisurly cruise up/down with a few freinds under the canvas with a bottle of wine.... no better time and no stops by the coasties either!

Nice!? Been blowing sideways for weeks! Days of small craft warnings! Cool if not downright cold. Today, strong thunderstorms including one right now! 5g's of work washed into next week....at least I'm getting work done on the boat. BOE has a new VHF antenna on it's way to me now and new Caps and wires due by Friday.

I'm spoiled :) with lots of protected water and a protected inlet nearby there is no bad boating weather, just bad boating company. About the only weather I won't go out in is when there are little electrical bolts flying from the sky.

I'm a fair weather boater...

Fair weather golfer.....

Fair weather fisherman....

Fair weather rider....

cold, wet, weather doesn't appeal to me at all.

Florida has been absolutely beautiful!!!! I think I've seen rain at the boat 2 or 3 times in the last 2 months and I've been there EVERY weekend!!

I moved up here to the Carolinas/Charlotte from Florida!!! At first it was a great decision, then it was a good decision, now I wonder what I was thinking. haha

The weather patterns seem to be changing up here, or maybe I just miss all the sunshine. At first I liked the four seasons up here. Lately it seems like two seasons. spring and fall seem to be short transitions to summer and winter. Oh well, maybe I'll get fed up and move back home.............then I'll remember why I left! hahaha

Its pretty much the same here in Knoxville. But I've lived here for awhile and can tell you this is not normal. We are almost at our yearly rain total in May . . . I have my sunglasses on ebay. But I was thinking about my poor marina, this time last year I had already dropped $500 on gas .. this year 0. Hoping for a better - but surprise surprise this weekend expecting rain - its rained everyweekend (that I could get away) since mid march

Mike..............you forgot about "brown season" in Charlotte. I don't know about Lake Norman but Lake Wylie looks like a mud hole after all the rain we have had. Even if the sun was shining this weekend the water looks awful and trying to dodge debris wouldn't be much fun either. One thing is for sure around here, each year is different than the last. This is the first spring I can remember where it has not only been very wet but also very cold too.

Dave

Dave I did forget about brown season. Lake Norman is alittle bigger so only the coves get muddy. It has to rain alot, like it has this year, then the main lake is muddy.

There is alot of debris floating around too. Even if the weekend is nice (It's going to rain) I wouldn't run around the lake. There are complete trees in the water. Oh well, I'll keep riding the four wheeler and Teryx!

A huge piece of Styrofoam about 15 feet long floated into our Marina this morning while i was washing the boat. I tried to lift it out of the water but couldn't. Wonder what else will wash in?

I was out on Lake Norman this weekend. There is a lot of debris floating around. It was kinda strange to. The lake is clear in some places and muddy in others.

I saw a guy towing jet ski floats. They probably broke free and he went and found them, or might be some jet ski docks come up for sale on craigs list! haha
