rainy day on lkn

I'm starting to think the weather pattern we have going on now is worse than straight up raining!

60-70% rain chance, overcast, BUT no rain is killing me.
I wanted to hit the lake yesterday, but didn't because I was sure it was going to rain. This morning, I want to hit the lake but am sure it will rain. It's misting out, and looks like rain......but if it doesn't rain again I'm gonna go nuts!!! Damn it.
Of course the week days look gorgeous. We need to shift the calander a couple of days one way or the other! haha

I can't get my sanity aligned if I can't get out on the water, I'm thinking seriously about moving back home to florida!!!!!! I couldn't live up north because the sun would go away for months at a time in the winter.

Just saying......it may as well be winter time.
I re read my post, it reads like I want the rain...we need rain, just not every dang weekend!

We got out for a couple of hours yesterday. Rain held off until around 4pm. Next weekend is looking good so far.

we did not try to go out on Saturday due to threat of rain.....even if it didn't rain it was likely overcast and cool.....so we did some chores around the house.....Sunday i went to the boat to work on the stereo.....i got there around lunch time and stayed untill around 5:30.....it misted/drizzled about the entire time and was overcast and cool....i left the front of my cockpit cover snapped on the base of the windshield and pulled the back of the cover over my open bimini top....that gave me enough shelter from the rain to leave the cabin door open while working on the stereo....i finally got the engine noise out of the new speakers by connecting the ground wire from the head unit to the ground terminal on the amp....while i was there i cleaned the cabin up good and did a couple other little things i have been putting off...saw a couple jet skies and a couple pontoons out on Sunday in my cove, but it was not a good day for boating.....

Good job on fixing the stereo whine Cliff.
I was close to dropping in on Sunday, but the misting held me off.

I chose to trim my trees in the yard, I found a yellow jacket nest in the ground!!!! My poor little dog, took off like a flash. I was wondering what that crazy dog was doing! Then they found me, and I went running like a crazy person too! haha When I caught my dog she was covered in yellow jackets. I brushed them off her as I was getting stung, multiple times. I gave her benadryl and me Crown! haha

We are both better today.

I hate them things. Hit a nest once with a tractor. Poor tractor didn't know what hit it. I hope the puppy is ok.

i had a similar experience as a boy.....was cuttng neighbor's yard with a riding mower to earn a little money.....ran over a yellow jacket's nest with the mower......before i knew what was going on i already had about a dozen stings, mostly on my legs.....i jumped off that mower as fast as i could and ran a couple hunderd yards down the street....

i find that Jack Daniels works well as an all purpose remedy......i use it generously for just about all ailments from insect bites to pulled/sore muscles and joints (unfortunately getting more common these days) or if i am just having a crappy day.....sometimes i just partake as a preventative measure when nothing is really bothering me.........

I hit a nest at home once with a push mower. They attacked the mower as I ran away, people told me because the mower was warm and making vibrations. It was good with me, they didn't get me that time.

well as luck would have it i am not going to be able to boat this WE.....having a big bash for my father's 85th birthday on Sunday and all my kids and grandkids will be at our house on Saturday....hope everyone gets to enjoy a very nice (weather wise) WE on the water....

Family comes first! I'll be on the lake this weekend. Probably spend one night on the water, any ways. My brain needs it!!!!!

Mike,

We will be out Saturday at some point in the afternoon. Where are you going to overnight? They have a kids movie night at PYC so we will be staying on the dock.

I was thinking about the cove above the hwy 150 bridge, BUT I could go anywhere. I haven't made up my mind.

On sunday, my neighbors will be coming along for a fun day and cook out on the boat. I'll probably meet up with them somewhere in the Denver area, at a ramp.

What's o n your mind?

FINALLY a nice weekend on the boat! I can quit whining now.......
I got sucked into a 100 boat raft up at the sand bar, been awhile since I've been a part of that scene!

Jim thanks for the hospitality, PYC is a gorgeous yacht club. I really enjoyed talking with y'all, I laughed more last night than I have in awhile, thanks to you and your wife, along with her friends.

Now Cliff and Shock, fall is closing in......

Was out of town moving the oldest into college last weekend. Friends coming in this weekend for some lake R&R. We will be out. Text or call 7O4-six89-8six88. You too Cliff>>>>
