Hello, all.
My radar stopped working the other day (right before having to run in fog, of course). I have the Raymarine unit on my 2011 Sundancer 350. I believe it's the non-HD Digital unit. The display says "No Data". Doing my research, it appears to be a power issue to the radome. I checked the cable connection at the dome (clean/tight) and on the ethernet cable plug on the rear of the C90 display. I see that a separate 12V connection and also Ground, is made to the radome on the main cable harness. Does anyone have an idea where this connection may be? Behind the helm? In the engine compartment? Just trying to get an idea before I tear the whole boat apart.
P.S. It appears that this was all factory installed. Thank you.

So, update.
The radar connection cable runs from the radar arch, down to the helm, and across the helm to the C90w display. About halfway across the helm, behind the gauge cluster, the cable ends. The Ethernet connection continues to the display uninterrupted. The power and ground cables (White, Green, Black) are shrink-wrap-crimped to what appears to be indoor house cable (Nomex?) and travels back down to the starboard side of the helm. Under the steering wheel there is the access panel for the breaker panel and a small fuse bank. The Bank is covered from the direct elements, but does not use weather pack connections or weather proof buttons like the breaker box.
I unplugged the connectors at the fuse panel, and scrubbed them with a wire brush to clean off the corrosion. The Radar then began to work properly. Probably had too much voltage drop between the panel and harness.
However, because it's a boat, no reason to celebrate yet. After a little while, the radar started to intermittently fail (No Data) again. Going by a suggestion from a fellow boater on my dock, I rotated the connector 180 degrees on the radome. This changed the way the cable makes its turn from the arch to the radome assembly. Viola.
So far, so good. So it appears I have a bad cable (Must lose connection at the bend in the cable when the boat moves around..). I will order a new one, and connect it to the radome to confirm its function before pulling it through the radar arch.
I hope this one day helps someone, and save them a few bucks.
