Previous owner enlarged the cockpit hole for the cockpit radio/cd player. The new one needs a smaller opening. Any suggestions for a real clean backing plate to frame the hole with a smaller opening.

I had the same issue on another boat. I used black starboard and countersunk black screws. It’s very easy to work with a dremel. Otherwise you may be able to find replacement instrument panels in a suitable size

I have black textured abs panels cut to fit the Ray215 for use when retrofitting another unit - not sure if these would work. Size is approx 8.75 x 3.93. The holes are pre-drilled to match the Ray215 mounting holes. PM me if interested and I can provided price shipped.

Personally I wouldn't consider anything but the factory panels which are made by Tecnografic.

You can have them make a new panel and it will look completely stock! I have 4 panels from them and get compliments often.

I agree with Tecnografic. I used them for the new chartplotters and the new Clarion. Perfect match!
