Quint4 (Dave Adams) visiting LKN....

Dave I can just meet ya'll at the restaurant. I'll have to work at 6:00pm that night, so I'll turn into a pumpkin around 4pm.
The restaurant docks are small, but there is an end dock...and I believe one of the slips is extra wide.
I think there are some private slips open that we could use for temp docking. I'll talk to Jim (marina manager).

This is the reason I rebuilt my Chris Craft!! I wanted a much larger boat, but didn't want to limit myself on dockage on LKN! haha
I wonder how much business the restaurants lose to small docks?

Ya'll could run down to Port City! They have plenty of big slips. Get your wallet ready for the gas pumps though! haha

1:00 pick up is good.....it will probably be about a 30 min slow cruise to the restaurant so we should get there between 1:30 - 1:45.....

Mike,
we will just see you there....if you could check on the docks before we go that would be great.....I would hate to get there and not be able to dock.....

Cliff, I spoke to my marina manager about using the slip for dockage, to eat lunch. He said no problem.
So if we eat at the Boathouse, dockage is good. I'll talk to the restaurant manager to see if we'll need a reservation for 10.

unfortunately I have a family emergency that has developed and won't be able to join you guys.....my daughter is fighting major depression and paranoia and has been hospitalized......likely this will be something that will require our attention for several weeks....she has three kids that my wife and I are going to help with as well as visiting and supporting her as much as possible....they live near Raleigh and she is in Winston Salem right now for treatment.....so lots of driving time is required.....

sorry I won't be able to be with you guys but I have to take care of family first....

hope ya'll still meet up and have a good lunch...let me know how it goes....

Cliff, I totally understand and wish you and family the best.

I will look just as cool piloting my rented pontoon into the restaurant dock...ha ha.

Family alway comes first Cliff. No worries man.

Well Dave, you still got me and the others. I can show you around till I have to go to work that evening. I don't have a big 340, but my little 240 thinks she's a big boat! Lol

Cliff - sorry to hear, let me know if I can help.

Dave / Mike - At this point it looks like I'm going to be boatless next weekend (deck work at the marina is behind schedule), but can still meet up at the BoatHouse.

Mike,

I have a party of 6?

Dave

I am going to run the ole pontoon to the Boathouse (if I can find it!).

I will try to leave our dock by 1pm or so.

We will have a party of 6 and hope to see you guys at Boathouse Saturday.

Dave, I don't know where your house is, but I'll assume it's south of the hwy 150 bridge. It's pretty easy to find really. Follow the channel north bound, the lake is more like a river up here. When you get to the bridge, the Boathouse restraunt is on your port side. You'll see the marina.
I'll see you there.

Hey guys, I'm a 50/50 at this point depending on if I can get my boat in. The deck work at the marina is of course behind schedule (was supposed to be finished this week). If I've got the boat will meet you there, otherwise probably not.

Dave - your house is in Mountain Creek near marker G M3. Coming out of your cove turn to STB Mountain Creek intersects with the main channel about 1m south - just past the large shoal to STB. Turn Port and head up the main channel at markers R12 and G13, Hwy 150 bridge is @5mi and the BoatHouse is in the marina Port of of 150 bridge just past G17-A. Watch for the shoals at G15-A.

looks like the weather Saturday will be OK....hope ya'll have a good time.....

Yeah, I guess the actual markers don't have the G and R since the color is obvious, marked that way on my Navionics maps. Been in on LKN so long I don't really pay attention to the markers. I guess the simple directions are right out of the cove, take the first left and go to the bridge. But the lake is marked pretty well with channel and shoal markers.
