I bought the Quicksilver hand pump and it is easy to use, fast to pump up to the higher pressures, and comes with a precision gauge. I paid $34.99 at a local marine store.

I have two foot pumps and a good quality tube electric pump. I use the electric pump to do the volume pumping and the Quicksilver to finish to reccomended settings. It pumps so much easier and quicker the my foot pump that came with the zodiac.

Would reccommend to anyone that is tired of foot pumps and gauges without actually numbers on them.

We use the same pump on our 12' mercury rescue boat at work. I love that pump. When I bought my used Achilles, I ordered the same pump online but went to the station to fill with the department's pump to check for leaks.
The gauge works perfectly, dual pump action saves so much time and it's cheap.

Our dinghy came with one of these. It lasted 2 seasons. The handle stripped out where it attached to the shaft. The plastic threads are not up to the task, particularly if you have a high pressure floor. YMMV.

I had the same trouble with the handle coming out of the piston. I just drilled a tiny hole and put in a little self tapping screw to hold piston on. Has worked fine like that for three years. Great pressure from this pump I use it to pump up my inflateable stand up paddle board that requires 15 lbs.
