Quick release chocks

I know this is an old string, but I wanted to update it. I ran into a guy last week who invented the solution! Check out Quickchocks.com. Heads-up...Your browser will try to correct it to quickchecks.

Hey guys,
New to this thread and appears the link to websites for both options mentioned no longer work. Tried parkitwithbill.com and quickchocks.com and no luck with either. Still any options out there for a quick removal/install solution?

Hey guys, thanks for commenting on the Quick Chocks. I have toyed with making them again. The problem is what customers were willing to pay for them really wasn't worth my time and effort to make and ship them. I was selling them for $400 and they weren't jumping off the shelves. But I guarantee you anyone who bought them won't ever go back to the old way. I know I won't. Maybe some of you who bought them can post some comments here. If I can get maybe $600 for them and enough orders lined up, I can start the assembly line again.

View attachment 64135 Don’t think I would trust those little pins on the Hurley with 600 plus pounds of dinghy in rough conditions.
Not to mention you still have bolts sticking up on the platform

Honestly it’s not a big deal removing the bolts every time I’m glad I didn’t alter them. It’s a nice flush deck once they’re out.

I can tell you the dinghy has never moved in the years of use.

Do you still have the pictures or video? The link in the thread doesn’t seem to work either. I don’t think $600 would be bad, but would love to see how they work. Thanks

No bs, they have made our platform 100% usable as it should be. The platform alone gets comments when we unload the dinghy but the quick removal of the chocks take the cake. I remove the chocks every time I unload the dinghy. I keep a wrench under the aft seat specifically for this task. I also use it as my guide. From the base of the crescent to the edge of the bolt and done. Same location every time. I can’t say enough about this I think $400 was a steal!

I would bet @MasterFab or @Blueone could knock them out no problem. Oh, wait a minute, minimum order with Blueone would probably 3,000 and Masterfab doing 2-3 at a time would be 6x $$$.

Ok, you guys drive a hard bargain. I'll get the website up and running again, including the video and lets' see where it goes. Thanks again.

Bill

It's all coming back now. One of the reasons I stopped manufacturing the Quick Chocks is because I couldn't find insurance. Can you believe that? I had it in place but they wouldn't cover it once I renewed my policy. Go figure.
I'm working on it.

Maybe an LLC?
Lower price will drive volume up. Maybe you can find lower cost fabricators.
Wish you luck and hope to see you back in production soon.

Okay, even though I don't have a hydraulic platform, I'm really curious of what Bill has designed. Does someone have some photos to show us?

Wondering if there is a quick release version/option for these chocks. Would like to be able to put them on and off without having to deal with the bolts. View attachment 64131
Please send a price for these chicks including the tracks. I have a similar platform to your photo on a SeaRay 365 sedan bridge
