I have a 79 SRV220 with a 228 mercruiser I/O.
Can anyone give me advice on removing the outdrive to replace the water pump hose? The drive and shift cable bellows are good and I dont want to damage them when I do this.
There isnt an exhaust bellow. The exhaust joins together when the drive is down. Is this normal for this boat? I am new to boating and I dont know much about this.
What tools will I need to replace the water pump hose/disconnect the outdrive? What seals/gaskets will I need to replace when the drive is seperated? Will the propeller need to be removed?
Will I need an engine hoist when the drive is seperated or can the drive rest on the ground.
How long will this take with 2 or 3 people?
Thanks
