So this Summer, I'm looking to come across for a few concerts at Molson Canadian Amphitheater (now called Budweiser?). If I get on the Ontario Place marina website, it looks like a lot of stuff is closed for some renovation. I'm looking for transient docks that are walking distance from the venue.

Walking distance you are pretty limited. Ontario place is the only one right there. Others are either very exposed or on the Toronto Islands meaning a ferry to get to the mainland then cab to the concert. Not much to do on the island either. More of a park than anything. Ontario Place is a short cab ride to downtown. Toronto is a great city but the waterfront is a bit lame for boaters which is why most of us are keeping the boats up north. I would call or email Ontario Place.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info.

We're considering heading up your way this Summer also, but with time constraints, will probably only make it to Bobcaygeon before making the U-turn.

There is nothing wrong with Bobcaygen...it is a great little town .....Peterborough is another favorite..... The best fish and chips on the planet is at Purveys in Peterborough... It has been around for ever. Clam chowder is epic as well .....it would just be wrong not to stop in if passing by

Maybe not the best for a concert but if you haven't stayed on Toronto island it is a must do... I would stay on "the wall"... If you have a dingy run over to Boy Scout island (Snake island) at night ....it is a perfect place to sit and watch the city..

Excellent. Thanks for those suggestions also.

And yeah, we'll spend a day or two in Peterborough on the way through. Looking forward to the lift locks.
