Does anyone have a link to error codes and descriptions?

I am not on the boat currently. Just had a call from my boat checking person, one of the units is showing 06 as a code. Not familiar with that code. There is the possibility he is interpreting the code wrong.

Thank you

Does the ac have the smx control? If so try Flight Systems. They reman and build their own SMX controllers. I seem to recall they have a faq sheet that lists the codes and their significance. I note though these are alpha and not numeric.

You don’t have any cruiseaire documentation by any chance?

Thank you. I had found that - had the shut down codes. Looking to see if O6 is even a valid code.

First thing the person on the boat did after seeing a code was go below and start with the strainers. There are 2 different water supply systems. For the one which this are uses, the water output from the pump is very difficult to see - often almost impossible. It is under the swim platform tucked way back.

Upon inspection - that specific side of the system - the strainer basket was very "polluted". After cleaning the error did not immediately go away. that's why I am digging more.

Just checked my SMX manual for trouble codes and none are numerical.
Just:
LO/AC
HI/PS
LO/PS
PE

Did you try back flushing the system?

I had a similar problem with the new boat. The strainer would plug and then throw high pressure messages meaning insufficient cooling of the condenser. I’d clean the strainer but the messages and condition would persist.

I’ve found that I needed to prime the system by back flushing - sticking a hose in the outlet with the system off and blowing the air out with water. Our boat has one big pump that services all four of the ac units. When the strainer plugged one of the units would drain by gravity and the others would be ok. When the pump would restart after cleaning the strainer didn’t have enough head pressure to blow out the line with the high spot.

The outlet being under the swim platform does pose a problem.

Ty for the feedback.

This issue came up a few hours ago so still diagnosing. My hope is the cleaning of the strainer and fixing water flow makes everything ok

Good news, I know a week in advance of traveling to the boat that I have an issue. There was a thread a week or so ago where I brought up what I was doing to address the challenges of remote ownership. This is a great example. I know 8 days in advance of planned travel I have an issue. The alternative - we would fly in, get to the boat on Friday afternoon. Salon level not cooling. Wife is upset, dog is not happy - and I am miserable. Friday afternoon - no way I am getting someone out till the following Monday - if that is even possible.

I will either get resolution early next week - or not fly.

Talked to my boat keeper tonight. Walked through the obvious things, check in the morning on cooling. Recycle the breakers for the units (he had not done that). check the filters ( he had not done that).
