Question about restoring isinglass windows.

There isn't much canvas around these window section. I'm hoping once the windows relax a bit the zippers will be ok.

Like I mentioned before I'm not sure the previous owner used them at all and when I tried to unroll them they didn't want to flatten out at all. So I hope over time and some nice sunny days they will be just fine for some winter time boating.

Having a covered slip really helps keep an older boat nice.

Best advise is to do this on a warm day. You can soak the canvas with water to help it stretch. Then stretch the canvas on. You may want to enlist the help of the top snapper tool. Start at the front and move back. Also start the zippers all around before closing. The extra slack will be helpful. Then pull the pieces down to the snaps.

When I first got my 260DA I swore the canvas would never fit. After stretching it a little each day I could put it on by hand without trouble.
