I´m finalizing a deal on a 2007 Sea Ray 44 Sedan Bridge with twin QSC500s and ZF280 transmissions. During the seatrial I noticed that smartcraft shows 0 pressure and -40 temp on the port transmission. Starboard was fine. I could see where there were a few sensors on the transmission cooler on the starboard engine and I believe these are the ones. The problem is that on the port engine is very difficult to get to this location so I couldn't see if something was unplugged and now I'm back home far away. The seller had his mechanic look at it while a few other items were being checked and the story I got was that some harness was never installed. If I was closer I would have gone back now to try and at least reach in with my phone to take a photo, but I'm too far away. Not sure if that really sounds logical as this would have come up a long time ago on a 2007 and would have been corrected I would have thought. One reason I believe this doesn´t make sense it that during the mechanical and seatrial transmission temp was listed in the engine survey for both transmissions. If the sensors or harness are missing how would they have been able to get a reading? Don't want to suggest someone isn't being truthful but the information provided just doesn't add up or make sense.
