Greetings

I have a QJet carb on my 454 Mercruser I/O and my classic Pontiac 455 so have done some research on these. I have learned that you can not run the old school fuel pressure on these carbs with unleaded and oxygenated gas. The max fuel pressure for a marine Rochester Q Jet carb is 3.5#!! Please search Max fuel pressure for Rochester QJet carb or go to : https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/...=7927a1d462b461d24f505c9dcf8bc1f6&action=view

Why not ? 5lbs.works with e10 in my NE location.

Hi

I cant tell you the physics of this but the fellow in the video is a long time Q-Jet builder and he has a pretty convincing demonstration in his video. My carb. ran rich until I installed a regulator and pressure gauge. If you have one of the later carbs it may have been designed to work with oxygenated fuels.

BTW what is up with creating three different threads for this topic?
Hi

Please explain, I am not of the computer age so do not know what a thread is. If you can explain my error perhaps I can avoid making the same mistake again.

It is simple. You figure out where the topic belongs and Create only one Post New Thread on your topic. Creating multiple Threads on the same topic is just annoying and problematic.

Hi

On this message I have opened yours and hit reply. Is this the proper way to respond to your message?
This iss how I have been doing it all along I thought.
