Put In Bay

So I assume rafting at the B Dock means electrical hookups are limited and you just run off the generator the whole weekend? If that's the case, that's fine but just want to know what's in store. How does refilling the holding tank work if you're rafted up? Do you just need to go with a full 100 gallons and be careful to conserve through the weekend? Sorry if some of my questions are silly but I just like to be prepared and not get caught off guard especially with a group of people aboard.

B-Dock has plenty of 30 amp service. You should be fine.

Miller's doesn't start taking reservations for the summer until April 1st.

The first week of August there is an annual ILYA Sailing Regatta and the public docks are generally reserved for blow boaters that week/weekend.

If you do use the city docks, do not tie to the outside walls. I've seen too many boats get horribly damaged when the wind is blowing the wrong direction.

If you run out of water there are plenty of hoses and the guys will be sure to help you out. I would conserve you wastewater holding tank as once you are rafted you are basically in for the long-haul.

There will be plenty of power. I would plan on bringing a Y splitter. Running your genny is frowned upon.

Here are some photos so you have an idea of what to expect. We always stay on B dock at the Bay. The dockmasters are second to none.

Check out the Keys for dockage. If you come in after the weekend, you can get your dock fee back as a lunch rebate - free docking and no Crews Nest fee. crews Next lets the public dock (with a fee) M-H. The city docks were redone last year and are really nice. If you don't like the "atmosphere" stick to mid week in the city docks. Moring balls always available until Friday mid morning...
