Purchased our first vintage Sea Ray today 1982 Sundancer 260!

I grew up skiing behind a 1980 Sea Ray as a kid, and we have been researching older cabin cruisers for a few years now, with plans to buy one next summer. We found one that needs the upper gear case redone as it was not winterized properly last year. Does anyone have any other tips or ideas about this model of boat? Everything is original and perfect in the cabin and cockpit (redone 2 seater captain chair), just a little dated and I would like to update the crushed velvet cushions. And as much as I love the 80s....the carpet on the ceiling is a little....odd, lol!! Happy to have found this site!!
