Micro-Air makes pump relay boards that work in the Sea Rays. The 1990 39 Express had a bad relay board and most all of them on the market are over $250 the one from Micro-Air cost $98 dollars plus shipping that totaled $112.18. I installed it and it works.
While installing the relay board I found that the AC water pump still would not turn on. Made no sense. So in looking closer I found a orange lead cord wire that had been added to bypass the old relay board and make the AC pump run when the AC pump relay was turned on. they had run the orange lead cord to the main control panel and wired it to the pump relay switch.
And the scary part about this: "They used a DC tube fuse in line on the AC power cord." The work was done by the previous owners Mechanics in the marina where the boat was kept.
