Offer in and accepted on a 2001 410 Sundancer with 3126's. Inspection and survey happening Thursday. Weather in Tampa is to be 72 and partly sunny!! Perfect for a sea trial.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, as I've read just about everything I could find on these engines and boats over the last year. Particular thanks to Frank for his continuous support on this forum, but to all the other owners...Thank-you!

I've translated the knowledge into an action plan to find a decent boat, and make it my family's second home on the water.

I've hired the local cat dealer (happens to have done the inspection on previous purchase) and a highly recommended surveyor, so now its just up the the boat and PO's MX to make sure it passes!

Congrats, by the way a Sundander is a 410DA not SD. SD is Sedan Bridge.

Long a go I was told to walk on the decks of a boat in sock feet and you could feel minor deflection (Soft spots). It worked for me.
    Hope all goes well.

That’s a great boat. And hard to find in great condition! We will all want to see pics once you get her closed.

Congratulations! That’s an awesome boat! We had a 2000 410DA for about 10 years with the same power and we loved it. The way she handles in docking maneuvers and tight situations is a real plus with the CAT power in that boat!

Not correct. SD is a Sun Deck. DB is a Sedan Bridge.

Congrats on the contract and best wishes for the survey.

Tampa weather is supposed to be great on Thursday, we are flying in for a few days that morning.

The techs were Paul and David and they worked all day on those engines...over, under, and around them even at full power and HOT!

    Great crew doing the survey!
