Pulled the trigger and ordered SeaDek for my 270 SLX

Glad you figured it out. I usually try it, check it and edit as I don't post enough pics to remember exactly how off the top of my head. Your install looks great!how was the install?

Bryan

installation was simple, but you need to be careful. There is no repositioning as you put it down. Took about 45 minutes.

Looks awesome, I did mine late last season, never got chance to install them, they did lay out perfect however. Come spring I will get them down, same color scheme (grey and black)

Looks great! I was just on their website and I noticed they have a template already for the 270 SLX so I wouldn't have to make one, I think (hope). Has the floorplan for the 270 SLX ever changed? What does everyone think about decking the entire boat bow to stern with Sea Deck? I just picked up a 2005 270 SLX (with 100 hours on it). Winter can't end soon enough...

TIA for your help!

I would not trust the template from another year. Making the templates is easy, and provides assurance that it fits.

I wouldn't do the entire interior. I think there are better choices for inside the boat. Infinity makes some spectacular boat vinyl flooring.

Just following up here. The 2014-2015 sea Ray part for the faux teak cabin decking made by seadek fits my 2005 nearly perfectly. The only issue is the center ski locker in the new design has two latches instead of one latch. But, the seadek material has blanks in the cutouts for the 2 latches that I will keep in place, and will cut an opening for the center latch. Won't look perfect but I will be the only one to notice.

Installing will happen on a warm day after the vinyl flattens out, and when the material is more malleable. And when I have a lot of patience to remove and replace both seats, prep the surfaces, and make sure I get the dang pieces installed straight and without bubbles. ;)

Did the 2014-2015 template fit the integrated swim platform correctly on your 2005? Got a pic of it?

The swim platform was not part of the package I bought from Great Lakes Skipper. Though from my conversations with Sea Ray, it sounds like there hasn't been a change to any of the floor plan since the start of production.

I'm going to order seadek for the swim platform once they email me back to confirm what the OEM sea Ray color combo is because I can't tell from photos what matches the stuff I have.

I'm also halfway considering getting the grey faux teak since my hull has grey accents but I'm not sure how it would look to have the interior brown teak and the platform grey. Any thoughts on this?

I would order the same stuff that you're putting down in the cockpit. Seems like putting down different colors might not look right. I have the black hull, and I'm considering putting down brown teak on the swim platform.

I have the gray teak on my swim platform. It would not look right if I put brown teak in the boat. Stay consistent.

What are your thoughts on the windshield wiper? More effort and cost than it's worth? the arm and blade on mine were removed. Just wondering if I should bother putting one on.

I replaced my wiper and wiper arm for about $20 total. I have a post on here discussing where I got it from.
Note it was a steel arm and not great for salt water.

Installed the bow piece of sea dek tonight. It's slightly crooked, hopefully nobody notices except me... I'm going to wait for the admiral to help me with the rest. Admiral is way more careful and cautious than I am.

What did you do with the holes when you removed the snaps from the deck? Fill them in? Leave them? If you filled them in, what did you use?
