Just want to make sure I understand this all before I drop more coin...
Great day on the water today. Boat runs Awesome. Slightly concerned about RPM's WOT puts me at 4900 RPM with a 15.25x15p Aluminum prop. 38.8MPH GPS. trimmed out. 4800 trimmed down. Running a prop calculator I see Slip at 19%. SOo....If i go stainless 14.5x17p should bring my rpms down about 400rpm? 4500 trimmed and 4400 down. Does that sound acceptable. Would I be better serves with a 16p ?
