I just bought a 190 SeaRay Sundeck and love the boat. It has a 1999 carburated 135 Mercury outboard as the power plant. I currently have a Hi5 17 pitch prop on it, which is great for pulling a skiier but not so good for top end speed or economy. Full throttle RPM is close to 5900 RPM and top speed 40MPH. I tried a 3-blade ballistic 14 3/8 x 21" Stainless prop which gives full throttle RPM of 5200 and top speed of 43 MPH. I am looking for a prop that will allow Full Throttle RPM of 5500-5600 and a higher top speed with better fuel economy, but I really don't know what to expect from this boat.
I am looking for suggestions for a propeller. If anyone has a 190 Sun Deck with a 135 outboard, can you tell me please what is your top speed at full throttle, what is the RPM at full throttle, and what prop are you using? This would be enormously helpful!
Thank You!
