When I took ownership of the 220DA, the previous owner had a 15x17 prop on the boat. It needed to be replaced because of all the dings and little chunks missing. I replaced it with a 4 blade 15x16 prop.

Cruising at 3000 RPM, I am running at 25mph (GPS) 3500 RPM I am at 27mph and WOT 4400 RPM, I am maxing out at 31mph.

The stock prop is supposed to be a 14x19.

What can I expect going to the stock vs what is on there now. I would think that at 3000 RPM I would be doing better than 25mph...

What will the 14x17 and/or a 14x21 prop get me?

It's tough to say - but it seems like you could improve by going steeper. Why did you change from what SeaRay recommends in the first place? Usually they are pretty good about what prop to use, so with the 14x17 you could expect better hole shot but lower top speed and with the 14x21 you could expect maybe a little better top speed (if there is enough power) and a much slower hole shot. i would stick with stock, maybe a 14.5x19, since the 14x19 is going to be hard to find.

Dock mate had the 15x16 four blade for $25.00, brand new still in the box.

It wasn't until last season that I learned about what should be on there. Why the previous owner went to a 15" prop vs the 14", I don't know...

The other question was should I stay with a 15, or go to the 14...
