Thinking of getting a set of 19 x 19 #5 cup hy torque props to replace 18 x 19 props on my boat running cummins 6b 300hp at 2850wot rpm.Any input appreciated.Have been looking for better props for my boat but havent found much info or time to get info this winter. My original props have been repaired a few times and i hit a 2 x 6 last summer so they need a bit of fixing again before launch.I can get the new ones for what repairs will cost on the old ones.I guess if i dont like them i can switch back and use for spares.I just dont understand props very well.I have sent info to a few prop places but recived no replies.Glen

If you haven't already, give Acme a call. They're great at recommending props. http://acmemarine.com

Called them for a recommendation for my boat last month.
A friend has them on his 480, and had them on his old 420 too. He swears by them.
Our local prop guy also highly recommends them.
They made me a little nervous with a recommendation of going with their 3 blade props on my 410, and the 5k price tag gamble on them, but I may take the plunge at some point. Especially if I get feedback from someone else with a diesel 410 that is running them.

5k sounds kind of high for props. Looked at acme site and my 18 x19 were 1800 each.

The 410DA runs 22" diameter props as standard which are going to be considerably higher in price.

yes i noticed the prices jumped after 18 . funny the same year 420/440 ran the same engines as me and the same props according to a guy at keans i ran into 4 years ago bringing this one home.
