I bought a truck this year with the intent on getting watercraft of some sort. I have been researching what I want off and on for some time now and this forum has been helpful so far. My decision now seems to be between a jet boat and a sea ray. I really like the name and design of the sea ray boats and the one's I am looking at are more acceptable in regards to cost too. I am concerned about the prop catching and getting damaged and needing replaced. I have NEVER had a boat before. My family had a pontoon when I was very little but I was too young to learn anything from it. How do you know when you are in safe space and not? The one place I looked at jet boats told me that I am plenty safe as long as i have at least 24" of water. What amount do I need for like a 195/205 sport to be safe? I am sure it is something you get used to over time, just like anything else... my concern is until im used to it. . .
