ProNautic 1230P Charger

I have just installed a Pronautic 1230P as a direct replacement of my old promariner 30amp 3 bank charger in my 1992 sea ray. Whenever I disconnect from shore power and reconnect to AC, or if I"m connected to shore power and running the radio or my interior lights using my batteries my charger always shows conditioning at the 14.7 volts instead of just charging. Is this normal? After awhile then it goes back into maintenance mode. My batteries are only 3 years old , fluid has been checked and batteries were tested at end of season last year. I also keep them tendered over the winter months.

Yes mine works exactly the same. Every time you reconnect power it goes into conditioning mode first before it settles into maintenance mode.

Anybody install the remote? I don't think you can program anything from it, it's more of a monitor, but it would be nice to see what its doing without opening the hatch.

I have the remote installed in the salon and like being able to see charger status.

I didn't know that they had a remote!
I now have something else I didn't know I needed until now.
