Hi Jim,
I have your Promariner ProNautic 1240C3. I took advantage of the "upgrade" program last year when my Fly-Back 20-3 died. I also bought the remote display. I've been very happy with the product, except have a couple of suggestions. One would be that the "backlight" for the remote display would default to the on position. Also do you have a product to monitor each battery's status while off the charger?

Hi Jim: Welcome aboard.

With as many memebrs as we have here, i'm sure you've got about 15,000 chargers installed in our little piece of the marine world.

I have two proMarine chargers and am a happy customer. I had one OEM charger on my 24V bow thruster battery totally fry two years ago and you fellas were very quick to get me a new one.

I'm sure as our nothern members get on to the water, issues will arise from the lay up period.

Stand by and keep your lines tight!

Nehalennia,

If you would like to send the remote back to me I will have an engineer reprogram the unit to default with the back light on at no cost. All you would need to do is ship it back to me. Please enclude a note with this discussion so I know what it pertains to. I will only need the head unit. As for the battery monitor we have the 51060 battery status monitor but that would be the only product at this time.

Jim,

Ditto's on the welcome!

I purchased a three bank charger over the winter. One set of leads will be to short to reach the third battery. Can I lengthen to one set of leads? If so, what steps should I follow? the charger has not been plugged/installed/wired to anything yet.

thank you for your advice.

Gregg

WOW :wow: :smt038 Now that's customer service!! Time to add a ProMariner charger to my boat.

What would you recommend for a 240 Sundeck, I have dual batteries with the standard battery switch. I'd love to have something I could keep plugged in when at the garage to keep them batteries fresh.

Here is my batteries:

James, what is your email address?

Jim,

I have a Pro Mariner 30 charger which is probably original equipment on my 1995 Sundancer 300.
A few days after installing three new batteries, two of the batteries that are on the same bank were dead. I disconnected all of the battery cables and turned on the charger. I get a reading of 13.4 volts on the leads from the charger. I had read something on the Pro Mariner site that the reading should be 14.6 volts or the charger was bad. Does the reading that I am getting indicate a bad charger?
Thanks for any help and advice.

Don

My family own's a 240 sundeck really nice riding boat. At any rate I would recommend a ProSport 12 to maintain those batteries while the boat is in the garage. The installation would work nice for your specific boat as you do not need a charger to serve as a power supply. This would just insure that you have fresh batteries ready to go. Email me with questions jmitchell@pmariner.com or call 603-766-7603.

Don,

I am happy to help.

Can you email me at work as the forum is a little hard to monitor all the time.

I need to know what model charger you have so I can better assist you I think you mean ProMatic 30-3?

Hope to hear from you soon jmitchell@pmariner.com

Jim,

thank you! you have been very helpful in seeting me on the right path with my new charger.

One question: Can I listen to the stereo while the charger is connected and plugged in?

Thanks,

Gregg

just wanted to add to to this thread a little. I stumbled across it while I have been trouble shooting a charger issue I was having. I contacted Jim through email and have been corresponding with him the last couple of days about my set up with 4 batteries on my boat. I currently have 3 24group batteries in series in a 12 volt system all tied together to be the "house Batteries". 1 24 group battery used as the starting battery. Jim was more then helpful and very quick to respond to every email and even my phone message. Fantastic customer service and great knowledge base. Thanks Jim and pro mariner. Another life long and satisfied customer. Forrest

I bought a new charger from Jim 2 weeks ago, the pronautic 1260 at a discounted price. Great customer service, you call there and actually talk to Jim. Ric

Thanks for the great support everyone.

Seriously if you have any questions call me.

You will actually get me at my desk.
