Hi all, best of the New Year to you!

I purchased my 1999 Sea Ray 210 Sundeck with 5.0L EFI and Alpha 1 Gen 2 sterndrive about a year ago now.
It normally stays on a trailer but my co-worker had gotton ill and it sat in a shallow canal partially submerged for a couple months until he finally pulled it out of the water. I took a chance and paid him $1500 for it in hopes that I could revive it.

I cleaned up the hull and sterndrive with On Off cleaner and a pressure washer and got the inside decent looking again. The battery wire to the starter had corroded off so I crimped a new ring end on installed a new marine starter and battery and the engine fired right up!

I serviced the engine with new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and module plus changed the oil and replaced oil and fuel filters and cleaned out the gas tank and replaced it with fresh fuel. I also serviced the outdrive with new oil, greased it and had to install a new trim pump and trim cylinders but at least it is useable now! The engine and outdrive perform well but the steering is a bit wobbly. I replaced the nav lights and everything else seems to work except the fresh water pump which I've replaced too but haven't figured out the switch problem as yet.

I went out with my boys and their cousins around Christmas time and eveyone had fun diving for conchs and doing some tubing so I felt it was worth my time puttering around for nearly a year fixing things myself whenever I had the extra time.

Now I can take my time and tackle the expensive stuff!
-Reupholster all seats and back rests - in real shambles now that we've taken it out a few times, some might need new foam too.
-New bimini top fabric -starting to get brittle and crack, I still need to polish the SS framework.
-New steering wheel, cup holders and grab handles - bleach didn't clean them well and I want them looking new.
-New gauges and helm switches - cracked backgrounds and faded looking and I want them looking new.
-New rack & pinion tilt steering - not an urgent issue but a tad restrictive and a bit wobbly.
-New sound system - older Sony CD head deck and standard speakers are not cutting it, kids want bluetooth connectivity.

Nice Work! I love to see one salved from salvage!

Well the upholstery is all finished now along with new bimini top too.

I got around to installing new gauges finally. I changed over from the black faced OEM ones to Faria Chesapeake SS white faced ones including the GPS speedo. Also installed the new tilt steering and rack and a new Kenwood head unit and 4 new JL Audio speakers.

We've been out several times now and the family really enjoys it (but have no idea the amount of time I have spent cussing it whilst getting it ready)....but well worth it!

But it sure is great to get to use it on a regular basis now!
